SH 24
SH:24 C.I.C. is a Community interest company that delivers a free online sexual health service in partnership with the NHS.
Founded in September 2013, with a funding grant from the Guy's & St. Thomas' Foundation, SH:24 has been a major contributor in the mainstream adoption of online STI testing in the UK. The company initially started operating in the London's Borough of Southwark and Lambeth, but soon expanded to the rest of United Kingdom and recently launched a new service in the Republic of Ireland, in partnership with HSE.
Notable founding members include:
- Dr. Gilliam Holdsworth, public health expert and and chair of the British Nepal Medical Trust, whom in 2007 walked across the Great Himalaya Trail to raise money for the Trust.
- Dr Paula Baraitser, Honorary Senior Lecturer at King's College London and co-author of numerous studies on Reproductive and Sexual Health.
SH:24 board of directors includes notable personalities too, such as Dame Donna Kinnair & Dr Michael Brady, Medical Director at Terence Higgins Trust.
SH:24 was the winner of the Guardian Public Service Awards 2018 and the Queen's Awards for Enterprise 2018
