SLAppForge Sigma is a free cloud-based Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for Serverless computing. It currently supports development of serverless applications on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform, by allowing users to work directly against their own AWS accounts. While the code is saved into GitHub, the deployments take place directly on the users' AWS account. The SLAppForge Sigma is a completely browser-based application.[1]
Sigma introduces a hybrid IDE that supports multiple serverless resources of the AWS platform. These resources can be dragged and dropped into the main editor pane, which then generates code snippets based on selections and information provided by the user[2]. The Sigma application itself is a serverless system, and the build and deployment cycles take place directly over the AWS account of the user.
