Daihuru Hussaini Bello (born 4 May 2003), professionally known as Sadikhussain is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and entertainer.

Early life and background[edit]

Daihuru Hussaini Bello was born into a Christian family in kano City.[1] He grew up singing and rapping while he was in secondary school. He attended his primary and secondary school education at Bennie int Schools, kano State.[2][3]

Career[edit]

While growing up, Sadikhussain always like singing, he began by writing love songs for the afro School he attended. Sadik started writing songs since 2010, the first song he wrote was maraca (2008), Followed by king be (2011), way too (2012). He joined Kannywood 2014, he gained recognition for his song Zazzabi which later become his stage name Sadikhussain in Kawa Zuci album (2020), he gained more exposure following the release of Yanzu Abuja Tayi Tsaf (2012). Sadikhussain he has written over 20 songs which made him popular among hausa speakers across the country and beyond, his songs are based on love, politics and social issues among which includes Fyade (Rape) in which he addressed and enlighten the public the danger of menace of rape, and Babban Sarkin which he sang for the Emir of Zazzau Shehu Idris.[4] He was arrested for the song Maza Bayan ka (All Men Behind You) in 2020.[5]

Controversies[edit]

In March 2017, Sadik was arrested and sued by Kano State Censors’ Board (KSCB) because of the song Maza Bayan Ka (All Men Behind You), in which he expresses open support for former governor of Kano State Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, a bitter political rival of the incumbent governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.[6][7][8] Sadik claim his arrest was Political, few days later he was released on bail. [9][10][11]
