Sahil Phull is an Indian actor and model who appears in Hindi films and television.[1] He first shot to fame in 2014 for his portrayal of Asfaque in Colors TV's Uttaran.[2] and received the prestigious "Dr. S. Radhakrishnan Memorial National Teacher & Media Award"[3] by Honorable P. A. Sangma. Phull made his silver-screen debut with the 2016 bollywood action comedy film Dishoom. Having previously starred in the Australian short film Shabd, he subsequently starred in the Life OK's Television show Piya Rangrezz, Zee TV's Kundali Bhagya, Bollywood film Out of time and a Web series A Birthday Gift (to be released)[4]. Phull went on to star in the supernatural Television show Haiwaan on Zee TV.
Early life[edit]
Sahil Phull was born in Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir (union territory) to N K Phull, a government employee and Neena Phull, a homemaker. The second of three children, Phull has a older sister and a younger sister. He completed her schooling in Jammu. He started acting in summer theatre programs since his childhood and also took a part in Jashanebachpan[5] festival which showcases the works of different theatre groups from all over India working with and for children in National School of Drama, New Delhi. After schooling he moved to Mumbai to pursue B.tech degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineeringfrom Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Mumbai, University of Mumbai.
Career and training[edit]
Sahil Phull is a trained actor and has attended various acting workshops in India and Melbourne, Australia. He has been trained in workshops by Neeraj Kabi, Tony Nikolakopoulos (Melbourne), Dalip Sondhi, Naseeruddin Shah and Atul Mongia. Before acting Phull has worked behind the camera as an assistant director and also as a creative producer for commercials. His acting career started by featuring in a Australian short film Shabd and Colors TV's television show Uttaran. His Bollywood silver screen debut was a cameo in Dishoom, where he portrayed the character of Vishal Sinha alongside John Abraham. He subsequently starred in the Life OK's television show Piya Rangrezz, Zee TV's Kundali Bhagya, Bollywood film Out of time and a Web series A Birthday Gift (to be released).[6] Phull went on to star in the supernatural Television show Haiwaan : The Monster on Zee TV
