Gastronomic speciality of Brittany and more especially of Morbihan, the Salidou is generally used as filling for the crêpes known as "au Salidou".
Consumer product available today in most supermarkets in the Breton region, the production is however ensured by local companies, most of which date back to the mid-1950s, date of creation of Salidou by the Quiberon pastry makers.
