Sally London
Sally London (born in Sydney, Australia) is an Australian jazz and blues singer[1], songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who plays the piano, keytar, guitar, ukulele and drums[2].
Sally has presented the "Jammin' Thursday" weekly jazz music show on Sydney's jazz radio station, Eastside Radio FM89.7 since 2018.[3]
Sally's version of the song Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps was released (under her former name) by EMI Records in 2010 on the album Coupe De Peigne, celebrating the life of Greek celebrity Panos Kallitsis, and was featured on the album alongside Dusty Springfield, Cilla Black, Eartha Kitt, Nancy Wilson and Dean Martin. Sally's version of the song charted on the Greece Jazz Music Chart in 2010.[4]
On the release of Sally's jazz album "Red Velvet Glove" of original material in May 2022[5], which was produced and arranged by Sally's long time music mentor Adrian Cunningham in New York, the Syncopated Times reported: "Sally’s brazen, often playful, funny sensuality is like a splash of ice water underneath a desert sun. Her voice, sliding between a sex-kitten purr and a soulful croon, is what microphones were made for.”[6]
Sally's recording and performance career as an Australian music artist was featured in the New South Wales Law Society Journal in 2021.[7]

Sally was interviewed by All About Jazz journalist Lauren Rogers in 2011 who reported that Sally "was named the “It Girl" of the Australian jazz scene when she made her debut with One Bite at the Cherry in 2008. It's not difficult to see why."[8]. One Bite at the Cherry was produced by Steve Clisby.
Sally opened the 10th anniversary of the Tangier Jazz Festival in Morocco in 2009[9] with the Massilia Jazz Quartet from France[10], and returned as a headline act with her Australian band at the festival again in 2015. "Friday 12 and Saturday 13 June, the delightful Australian.. was a hit at Castel Palace" reported Et-Tayeb Houdaifa with a review of the performance for La Vie éco.[11]
Sally's portrait from her album of original material "The Scorpion Maid" was featured in a major exhibition "What a Life!" across Australia's State Libraries, showcasing the rock 'n roll life - on stage and behind the scenes - of famous international musicians, captured by Australia's premier rock and music photographer Tony Mott over his 30 year career. The portrait was featured alongside portraits of Mick Jagger, Norah Jones, Kylie Minogue, Michael Jackson, Fleetwood Mac and ACDC.
5 of the 12 tracks from Sally's album of originals "The Scorpion Maid" were shortlisted in the Australian Songwriting Competition.[1]
Sally regularly performs internationally and across Australia's iconic jazz clubs and festivals, including a residency as a headline act at the Venetian Casino and Sands Casinos in Macau.[12]
Australian jazz journalist Koop Cooper, Cocktail Nation - The Interviews[13] reported Sally London is “a chanteuse who is all platinum, classy and captivating and who has one of the best voices in this country”.
