Salman Muqtadir, (born August 9, 1993) is a Bangladeshi YouTuber and actor. He started posting on YouTube in 2012 under the name "SalmoN TheBrownFish" and has subsequently become one of the most popular [vague]YouTubers in Bangladesh. He is married to Disha Islam.[1][2][non-primary source needed]

Early life and YouTube career

Salman was born on August 9, 1990,[not in citation given] in Sydney, Australia, to Bangladeshi parents who moved back to Dhaka, Bangladesh, while Salman was still young.[3]

Salman began posting videos on Facebook before he moved onto YouTube in 2012,[4] creating his channel "SalmoN TheBrownFish", where his comedy sketches became popular. He described his YouTube journey in an interview, stating:

"I did not want to waste my time like others. So I searched YouTube to find some Youtuber in Bangladesh but couldn’t find anyone. That’s when I got the idea that I can be a Youtuber and become the first Bangladeshi content creator".[3]

Legal issues

In 2019, Salman released a music video for his song "Obhodro Prem", in which he dances suggestively with a woman. The video was criticized as 'vulgar'[5] and Salman was called to the office of the Cyber Crime Unit of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police.[6] After the meeting, Salman temporarily took down his music video.[7] Although he reuploaded the video later.[citation needed]

Other ventures

Salman has acted in several dramas.[8] In 2020, he released his first book titled 'Behind the Sin', in which he discusses sensitive issues and taboos in Bangladesh.[9]
