Sam Bakthiar
Saman Bakhtiar (born May 1, 1973) is an Iranian entrepreneur and bodybuilder. He is the co-founder of the Camp Transformation Center and the CEO of One Percent Nutrition.
Biography
Saman Bakhtiar was born on May 1, 1973, in Iran. Since the age of 3, he and his mother had difficult living conditions due to missile strikes and bomb airstrikes. At the age of 11, in 1985, they left Iran and flew to the United States as refugees.[1] They settled in Pennsylvania.[2]
At the age of 14, after trying to become a basketball player in high school, he started gaining interest in bodybuilding. He has earned 23 major bodybuilding titles and began a career as a personal trainer running his own gym.[1]
Bakhtiar earned a bachelor's degree from Pennsylvania State University in sports science and life science and a doctorate from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic.[3]
After the 2008 recession in the US, his divorce, and his ex-wife becoming pregnant, Bakhtiar was on the verge of bankruptcy. Then he had the idea of the Camp Transformation Center with his business partners, Alejandra and Luis Font.[2]
The Camp Transformation Center is a fitness franchising business with 110 locations and two different supplement and nutrition companies. Bakhtiar is also the CEO of One Percent Nutrition supplement company.[3][4]
