Sam Bakthiar

Saman BakthiarD (born May 1, 1973) is an Iranian entrepreneur and bodybuilder. He is the co-founder of the Camp Transformation Center and the CEO of One Percent Nutrition.

Biography[edit]

Saman Bakthiar was born on May 1, 1973, in Iran. Since the age of 3, he and his mother had hard living conditions due to missiles firing, bomb airstrikes. At the age of 11, in 1985, they left Iran and flew to the United States as refugees.[1] They settled in Pennsylvania.[2]

At the age of 14, after he tried to become a basketball player in high school, he started gaining interest in bodybuilding. He has earned 23 major bodybuilding titles, and he began a career as a personal trainer running his own gym.[1]

Bakthiar got a bachelor's degree from Pennsylvania State University in sports science and life science and a doctorate from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic.[3]

After the 2008 recession in the US, his divorce, and his ex-wife getting pregnant, Bakthir was on the verge of brokenness. Then he got the idea of the Camp Transformation Center with his business partners, Alejandra and Luis Font.[2]

The Camp Transformation Center is a fitness franchising business with 110 locations and two different supplement and nutrition companies. Bakhtiar is also the CEO of One Percent Nutrition supplement company.[3][4]
