Samir Abdulhadi is the CEO and President of Orbit Group[1], and former chairman of Panther Media Group, the parent company of Orbit Showtime Network (OSN).[2] OSN is one of the biggest cable companies in the Middle East and North Africa.
Career[edit]
Abdulhadi studied at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) where he graduated with a Masters Degree in Petrochemicals and Hydrocarbons. Upon graduation he joined the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) where he spent ten years serving a variety of senior positions. In 1991, Abdulhadi joined the Mawarid Group where initially he was appointed as the managing director of the Mawarid Food Company, seven years later he held the same position for the Mawarid Distribution & Trading Group. In 2002 he was appointed as the President & CEO of the Orbit Satellite Television and Radio Network.[1]
Abdulhadi currently lives in the United Arab Emirates.
