Sandip Ghose
Sandip Ghose is an Indian writer, columnist and political critic.[1][2] He was the Managing Director of Unilever Nepal (subsidiary of Unilever) and the Chief Operating Officer of Birla Corporation.[3] He was also the head of the division of The Telegraph and BusinessWorld in ABP Group.[4]
He is an opinion columnist and actively contributes to Hindustan Times, The Print, LiveMint, Firstpost, Outlook Magazine, DailyO, ABPLive and other news outlets. [5][6][7][8]
Career[edit]
Ghose was born in Kolkata and studied at Don Bosco School, Park Circus and St Xavier's College, Calcutta.[9] He joined Hindustan Lever as a Management Trainee in 1983. He then got assigned as the Country Manager of Unilever Nepal and later got promoted as the Managing Director of the company.[10] After a 19-year long stint with Unilever, he moved to ABP Group, an Indian media company where he was heading the The Telegraph and BusinessWorld.[4] Later, joined HT Media Limited and was responsible for the launch of Hindustan Times & Mint newspapers in Mumbai, Maharashtra.[11]
Ghose then moves to LafargeHolcim and joined as the Senior Vice President of the Indian Division.[12] After which he joined Birla Corporation as the Chief Operating Officer.[13] [14]
