Sandra Sarmiento (born Bogotá, Colombia, on December 9, 1960), is a Colombian dancer, choreographer, actress and painter.[1]
As a dancer and choreographer, Sandra Sarmiento became one of the most important entertainment icons in Colombia. She is nationally recognized for her participation in TV shows such as Baila de Rumba, Disco and mainly El Show de Jimmy where she was the leader of the dance group, Las SuperNotas, which was a fundamental section of the TV show and made Sarmiento one of the most loved and remembered personalities by the Colombian audience.[2] El Show de Jimmy was the most successful show at the time in Colombian television.
After her career as a dancer and choreographer ended, Sarmiento dedicated herself to painting and has managed to exhibit her works in cities such as Los Angeles and Miami, in the United States.[3]
