Sandun Sankalpa (born August 20, 1996; සඳුන් සංකල්ප), also known as Herath Mudiyanselage Sandun Sankalpa Herath, is a Sri Lankan musician, audio engineer, music composer, and dubbing director. He is best known for his contributions to Sri Lankan television dubbing productions and original music compositions. He currently resides in Japan.
Early life and education
Sandun Sankalpa was born on 20 August 1996 at Puttalam General Hospital, Sri Lanka. He studied at Bandaranayakapura Maha Vidyalaya, Puttalam, where he completed his G.C.E. Ordinary Level examinations (2002–2012). He later attended Ananda National School, Puttalam, for his G.C.E. Advanced Level examinations (2013–2015). He obtained a Level 3 Diploma in Sound and Music Technology from the London Examination Board through Music Oven Institute, Sri Lanka, between 2016 and 2017.
Career
Sandun began his professional career as an Assistant Producer in the Dubbing Department of TV Derana, where he worked from 2016 to 2020. He currently works as a *freelance pianist, audio engineer, music composer, dubbing director, recordist, and piano tutorial creator.
