SATHYA Group is a South Indian conglomerate holding company that comprises of seven Strategic Business Units (SBU), viz., Retail, Information Technology, Hospitality, eCommerce, Developers, Media and Web Services. It has it's headquarter in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, India. Founded in 1983 by A.John Samuel. The company gained public recognition after establishment of it's retail [1] unit across major town in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

The company was established in 1983 in Tuticorin, Tamilnadu by John Samuel. It was initially set up as a small store selling electronic appliances and household articles.
In 1990 after John Samuel's demise, his son Johnson Asaria [2] took over the business at the age of 18 along with his brothers John Sathya and Charles Packiaraj. The company established it's first branch in Eral, Tamilnadu with an annual turnover of ₹2 Crores.
During the year 2000's and 2010, the company sets its focus to new business opportunities in the Hospitality and IT industries. In 2003, the company started it's new business in hospitality sector in the name of SATHYA Park and Resorts Private Limited [3] [4]. SATHYA Agencies Private Limited was incorporated on 24 April 2005 [5] in Tuticorin, Tamilnadu, India. The year 2008 marked the arrival of SATHYA in the IT domain with the name SATHYA Technosoft India Private Limited.
