Saverio Fabbri (Savv Fabb).[1] is an Italian film, television, theater and commercial actor, producer[2], voice actor[3], presenter, YouTuber, cricket commentator[4] and former international cricketer[5]. He has been living in Poland since 2012.
Early years
He was born on July 9, 1986, in Bologna, Italy, to the family of Carla Acquarelli (1956), a primary school teacher, and Fabio Fabbri (1953–2016), a surveyor at the local city hall. He grew up in the province of Bologna in the town of Pianoro. Already at an early stage of life, he developed a passion for acting, foreign languages and communication[6]. At the age of six, he joined a local theater, where he performed for about seven years and took part in over 10 plays, including The Imaginary Invalid and The Emperor's New Clothes.
Acting career
In 2009, he made his debut on the cinema screen in an episodic role as a fascist officer in the war drama The Man Who Will Come (L’uomo che verrà)[7], honored with the David di Donatello for Best Film, best producer and best sound.
He appeared in the documentary film HI LA (2019)[8], produced and filmed in Los Angeles. He played the role of Adamo in the Australian comedy-drama Don't Read This on a Plane (2020)[9][10]. He played the role of an animal dealer in Jerzy Skolimowski's film EO (2022)[11], which received a number of awards and distinctions, including the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival, six awards at the Polish Film Awards (also for the best film) and a nomination for an Oscar for the best international feature film.
In 2021, he was selected as a juror for the Monologue Slam competition, organized by the ETTC Foundation (English Touring Theatre Company)[12].
Episodically he appeared in the TVP2 telenovela Barwy szczęścia (since 2020)[13]. He acted in commercials for companies: Mlekpol, Bank Millennium, Provident, Aviva[14], Workai[15], Vision Express, and Tymbark. He appeared in the music video "Natale è qui: Stil Novo" (2016)[16].
He cooperates as an actor and producer with Vitale Materi Video & Movie Production[17]. The film Lesbian Psycho? produced by the studio obtained over 50 awards and 30 nominations at festivals around the world[18].
In 2025, he joined the cast of the Polish popular TVP2 medical series Na sygnale. He played the role of an Italian, Luigi Oleone[19], the husband of Zofia Banach. Saverio Fabbri appeared in a total of 14 episodes, appearing in the storylines of the 12th and 13th seasons of the production[20].
Film production and YouTube channel
He was the owner of the private film production company Saverio Fabbri Productions[21]. In July 2012, he created a channel on YouTube, where he posts new videos every week. His channel has so far gained 17 million views and 110,000 subscribers, from which over 480 videos have been uploaded[22]. In 2015, he produced two short films: Leaving to Start Living, Intimidating Monologue[23]. In the same year, he joined an Italian-language theater in Warsaw, where he received leading roles in two theatrical plays.
Hollywood experience and 40th International Theater Festival "iNTeatro"
He was selected to play in Hollywood Immersive 2018, where he underwent training at the Beverly Hills Playhouse in Hollywood in the city of Los Angeles. During his stay in Hollywood, he established contact with the best coaches, agents, managers and most important professionals of the American film industry, which resulted in performing before them in the evening program. This acting course was changed into a documentary film, the implementation of which fell for January 2020.
In the same year, he was also selected to take part in workshops conducted by Gary Stevens, who is one of the creators of the Teletubbies as part of preparations for "Uno di Noi" (One of Us) – a performance (created by Stevens) represented at the 40th International Theater Festival "iNTeatro" in Polverigi, Ancona, Italy[24][25].
Cricket career
He became recognizable as an international cricketer; a right-handed batsman and right-handed leg spin bowler, in 1997 he had his debut in the game of cricket and represented his local team, Pianoro Cricket Club. More than 10 years later, he decided to move to Bologna Cricket Club and it was the last club he played for until the moment he decided to withdraw from cricket[26]
He represented Italy during several events, playing in the age range of under 15, under 17 and under 19 (European Under-15 Championship in 2001 in Germany, European Under-17 Championship in 2002 in Gibraltar and Qualifying Tournament under 19 in 2003 in the Netherlands)[27]. He also took part in the 2002 Youth Coaching Camp, which took place in Bradfield, where he won the award for the best batsman, after achieving success at the camp as the "Most Talented Batsman and Bowler".
In 2008, he commented on some Indian Premier League matches as an assistant cricket commentator at Sky Sports in Italy.[4]
Personal life
On June 28, 2014, he married Katarzyna Agata. He settled in Warsaw with his wife and two daughters.
