Scrap Clicker 2 is a freemium mobile idle game developed and published by a German game developer named Schrott Games. The game was released for Android in the Google Play Store on February 25, 2017, and on iOS in the App Store on January 8, 2018. There are more than a million players as of October 2018.
Gameplay[edit]
By swiping barrels together, which appear by the time, they become one higher tier barrel and so produce more scrap, which can be used to purchase upgrades with scrap. After gaining 1 million Scrap, Golden Scrap can be awarded which increases the production, but the game must be reset. After there is enough Golden Scrap, it can be used to get Stars, the main goal of the game. After gaining enough stars, many features get unlocked, like Teams, Bricks and Tires. All resources have no max. limit.
Gameplay items[edit]
Image | Feature | Unlocked at | Effect |
---|---|---|---|
Scrap | When installed[3] | Can be obtained from barrels ( Scrap per barrel), and can be used for several Upgrades, and later on for the first two Scrapyards too. | |
Golden Scrap | 1 Million Scrap[4] | Golden Scrap can be awarded through prestige and increases the scrap production. | |
Magnets | When installed[5] | Magnets can be awarded through various ways and can be spent on magnet upgrades and stars. | |
Leaderboards | When installed, but 1 Star is needed | Basically a table with the best players, the ones who got most Stars, most Golden Scrap, most Challenge Points, and the highest barrel they reached. | |
Stars | When installed, but 1000+ Golden Scrap is needed[6] | They give a Scrap Bonus, independent from the GS (Golden Scrap) boost. After 10 Stars three resources are used to upgrade them (Golden Scrap, Magnets and Star Fragments), unlike the first 10 Stars where only Golden Scrap is used. After 10 Stars their bonus is , considering all stars are identical. | |
Ad Events | 100 Merges | They are boosts which can be received by watching an ad. | |
Teams | 1 Star | They are the main social feature of the game. The teams include a chat and two ways to mess with other teams:
There are Team leaderboards as well: Star Leaderboards and Total merge Leaderboards. | |
Scrapyards | The first one is unlocked at 5 Stars, the v3, at x75 Stars, and the v4 at x110 Stars. | These use up a certain resource to boost your production or make things easier:
| |
Star Fagments | 10 Stars | They are only used as a material to upgrade Stars since 10 Stars. | |
Bricks | x15 Stars | They are used for a few Upgrades, and unlike most resources, Bricks are obtained passively every single second. Getting a star increases its income by 4, and leveling it up through level ups by x2. | |
Change Tokens | x30 Stars | They can be obtained by Team Challenges, described before, and they give the ability to choose any Ad Event without having to wait for it to appear. | |
Upgrade Evolution Tree | x40 Stars (most upgrades require more Stars to unlock, up to x135) | It contains a lot of useful upgrades, disposed in a tree manner, which unlock new currencies, or give a boost of a certain resource, or even more Upgrade levels! | |
Steel Beams | x40 Stars too, but it is needed to buy them at the Evolution Tree. | They are used for buying more Tree Upgrades or to upgrade the Scrapyard v3. They appear in the screen every 60 seconds falling and you can collect them | |
Wrenches | x100 Stars, but it is needed to buy them at the Evolution Tree. | They are used for getting some Tree Upgrades or to upgrade the Scrapyard v4. They are obtained by merging Barrels, at first 1 per Merge, but with an upgrade it is possible to increase it indefinitely by merging more. | |
Tires | x130 Stars, purchasable at the Upgrade Tree as well | They fall from the sky just like Steel Beams, but they start much faster and bounce in the screen. They appear every 60 seconds too. They can be multiplied, theoretically, to infinity. They are used to unlock 4 new different types of Storms:
