Secret Weapons is an ongoing series published by Valiant Comics, which focuses on a team called the "Secret Weapons," which is made of a large number of the heroes existing in the Valiant Universe.

Original Valiant continuity[edit]

After becoming the present-day Geomancer, Geoff McHenry realizes that he needs help from other to protect the Earth. Being able to contact others for his cause, Geoff recruits Edward T. Sedgewick and Amanda McKee, two Harbingers who defected from the Harbinger Foundation to prevail against evil that threaten the world's status quo as humanity’s Secret Weapons. Joining the fight are Bloodshot, Eternal Warrior, Shadowman, Doctor Solar, X-O Manowar, Mach, Sonar, Tank, Para-Man, and Para-Man II. The original series was written and illustrated by Joe St. Pierre, and was concluded after 21 issues in 1995.[1]

Valiant Entertainment continuity[edit]

The second series follows Amanda McKey on a search for psiots who have been abandoned by Toyo Harada's Harbinger Foundation, because their superpowers were considered to be worthless. Livewire manages to find several kids in Oklahoma City. However, before she can make contact they're already being chased by a creature called Rex-O. The new cast of heroes are Nicole "Nikki" Finch, Owen Cho, and Avichal "Avi" Malakar. The second series briefly ran for four issues, from June 2017 to March 2018.

Nikki and Owen would get their own origin stories and special one-shots[disambiguation needed], sometime later on.
