Roy Ssemboga (born 23 November 1990) is a Ugandan student leader and physician. He served as the 82nd Makerere University Guild president 2015 to 2016.[2][3] In 2021, he contested for the Parliamentary seat of Kawempe South Constituency.
Early life and Education Background[edit]
Ssemboga is the third born in a family of ten children to Posiano Kibirige and Ruth Nakyejwe of Kakiri Town Council in Wakiso District.[4]. He attended St Mary’s Primary School, Kiwafu Muslim Primary School, Our Lady of Africa Secondary School before joining Makerere University for a Bachelors of Medicine and Surgery[5][6]
Career[edit]
In 2014, Ssemboga was the chairperson of Nkurumah Hall and served as the Chairperson of the Guild Elections Commission at Makerere University. Ssemboga was voted as a student leader for Makerere University 2015–2016[7][8] on the Democratic Party card. He succeeded Ivan Bwowe.

In 2018, he was among the founders of a political pressure group known as People Power where he serves on its High Commission committee as well as on its secretariat as the Head of Educational Institutions [9] [10][11]In 2021, Ssemboga contested for Kawempe South Parliamentary Constituency in the 2021 general election.[12]
