Senthil Ganesh is a Tamil Folk singer and the winner of Vijay TV reality show Airtel Super Singer 6[1] in 2018[2][2][3][4][5][6][7]. He was awarded 50 Lakhs Worth home by Arun Excello, one of the sponsors[7], and a chance to sing for AR Rahman[8][9][10][11][12]. This is the first time a folk singer winning the Airtel Super Singer by singing folk songs also called as Makkal isai and Nattupura pattu instead of the tamil cinema songs[13].
Senthil Ganesh was signed up to sing for Music Director D.Imman for the Sivakarthikeyan movie Seema raja[14][15][16][17].
Senthil Ganesh and his wife Rajalakhmi have sung their first movie song for prabhu deva movie charlie chaplin 2 and the national award choreographer prabhu deva is dancing for the village number[18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25]
Personal life
Senthil Ganesh did his schooling at Government Boys higher secondary school at Alangudi, and graduation at Kalai Kavery College of Fine Arts in Trichy[13].
Senthil Ganesh was interested in folk songs (Naatu Pura Padalgal) from his childhood and his friends encouraged him to go to cultural fairs in the nearby villages to learn it. He was given Doctor of Letters by the Universal Tamil University[26][13].
Senthil Ganesh met his wife Rajalakshmi during a cultural fair, and they have two children. Rajalakshmi also participated in Super singer and won the makkal kural award and a cash prize of 5 lakhs from one of the sponsors Ramraj Cotton and she announced on the same stage that the money will be spent for the education of children of weavers[13].
