Seth Frimpong
Seth Frimpong[edit]
Seth Kofi Frimpong (1970 – 24 April 2020) also known as "The Dancing Prophet or Okumchola" was a Ghanaian gospel artiste and dancer.[1][2][3][4] He was a member of the Assemblies of God and under the tutelage of General Superintendent Of Assemblies Of God Ghana.[5]
Career[edit]
Despite his love of gospel, he was a good dancer as well. His career began as a dancer competing in a dance tournament in 1988 which he did not win. He came back to the scene as a gospel artiste of which he was notable for two songs which are Mehuri so and Okumchola.[2] He groomed and trained a generation of gospel artistes in Ghana.[6][3]
Personal life[edit]
Seth Kofi Frimpong was married to Dorithy Frimpong and had a child, Levite Frimpong.[7]
Death[edit]
He died in the early hours of Friday, April 24 2020 at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi after an illness. [8]
