Shafeeq Gigyani is social.[1][2], educational[3][4], and political activist in Peshawar, Pakistan[5]. He has been Executive Director of Poha Foundation, the foundation was formed to create educational opportunities for Pukhtuns, who do not have the same opportunities as other Pakistanis.[6]. He is also a chief operation officer (COO) of TrackReps - an app to track the performance of members of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly[7] ,Campaign Manager for Peshawar 2.0[8] and Co-founder of Selany[9][10]

Gigyani got his MPA degree from University of Peshawar[11]. Where he has also contested and won presidential election of Association of the Students of Public Administration.[12][13]

As a means to address the 71% average rate at which Pakistani students fail the Secondary School Certificate examinations, Gigyani advocates for improved teacher training, improving educational standards, and working on capacity building in schools.

He also also advocated for legislation prohibiting the sale of toy weapon to children, and instead has promoted the purchase of toys for children that promote peace[14][6]. Giyani supports legislation what would give rights in Pakistan to Afghans in Pakistan who sought refuge in Pakistan and are now forced to repatriate in Afghanistan.

He writes blogs on culture and history in Pashto language, Urdu language and English.
