Syed Akhtar Ali Shah (Urdu: سيد اختر علی شاہ) is Pakistani police officer currently he is serving as Officer on Special Duty (OSD)[1],he was the additional Inspector General of Police and then acting Inspector General of Police (17 March 2017-4 April 2017) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa[2][3].Shah also served as the "Provincial Police Officer Khyber Pakhtunkhwa"[4]and "DIG Special Branch" in 2006, he is the first one who introduced the counter-terrorism policy in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa[5].Shah also served the Mardan division from 2008 to 2011 against militants[5].Shah got LLb and Political Science (MA) degrees from University of Peshawar and now he is pursuing doctoral research in Political Science from Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan[6].
