Shalala Oliver Sepiso (born August 27, 1976), is a Zambian journalist, blogger, consultant, communication expert and sports administrator specializing on Zambian current affairs and corporate and business affairs.[1] Shalala is Lusaka-based and he who worked for The Post, the country's biggest ever newspaper.[2]

He previously worked for MUVI Television, AfriConnect and NGOCC.[3]

Early life and education[edit]

He spent most of his childhood in Nangoma area of Mumbwa District in Central Zambia. He attended Kasalu Primary School from 1982 to 1988 and proceeded to St Pauls Secondary school for his junior secondary school education from 1989 to 1990. He later went to Hillcrest Technical National High School where he studied for his Senior Secondary School from 1991 to 1993.[4]

Shalala attended the University of Zambia, Lusaka, between 1996 and 1998, 2003-2005 and 2009 for his Degree in Engineering. He is presently pursuing other qualifications.[5]

Journalism career[edit]

After his college diploma, Shalala's first media gig was with Zambia's leading private television broadcaster, MUVI TV, as a panelist and it was there that he honed his journalism skills. At MUVI Television, he gained interest in political news and analysis. [6]

Personal Life[edit]

Shalala is married and has one son.[2]
