    Description

ShareAspace, also known as "Share-A-Space" or "ShareAspace Nova", is a PLM collaboration platform for the sharing and exchanging of engineering data within and between enterprises.[2][3][4] ShareAspace was developed by the swedish company Eurostep Group AB,[5] founded in 1994.[6]

ShareAspace is based on standards such as STEP,[7] AP242 and PLCS,[8][9] with different configurations and limited customization delivered through Microsoft’s Windows Server and Azure platform. ShareAspace was developed to provide business flexibility by breaking out of vendor and system information lock-in while allowing collaboration partners to keep existing systems and processes.[10]

    Market

ShareAspace is used across different industries, for complex assets:[10]

    • Aerospace[11][12] and Defense[13]
    • Automotive/Heavy Automotive[9]
    • Energy
    • AEC[14] (Architecture, Engineering & Construction)
    • AEC Infrastructure (e.g. roads, railroads, bridges, tunnels)
    • Telecom/High-tech[15]

With new business models such as the Circular Economy, emphasizing design for multiple life cycles, the PLCS standard and ShareAspace can also be used in the following industries:
