Sharon Massengill (February 2, 1934 – January 5, 2000) was an American tap dancer, actress, singer, and comedienne. In 1954, She was greatest tap dancer in St. Louis, Missouri.
Early years[edit]
Massengill was born on February 2, 1934. She once held her and hummed some rhythms to her, and she smiled and joined along. Massengill graduated from Vashon High School in 1953.
Career[edit]
1954–1971: The Tappers Snappers[edit]
In 1954, She joined the three men and two women and named them “The Tapper Snappers”. (with Violet Hollingsworth, Greg Paddison, Dexter Randall, Iggy Proudfoot and Francine Tomson)
Death and Legacy[edit]
Sharon Massengill died January 5, 2000, of ovarian cancer, aged 65, and is interred in the Calvary Cemetery.
