Sheryl Ang (Chinese: 洪丽婷; pinyin: Hóng Lì Tíng; born 6 September 1998) is a Singaporean actress from Mediacorp and a model.
Early life and career[edit]
Ang was educated at Canossa Convent Primary School and St Anthony's Canossian Secondary School, where she scored an A for her GCE “O” Levels examination. She later studied Cyber Digital Security at Temasek Polytechnic and graduated without furthering her studies. Back in school, she always had an interest in acting and she took up Drama as an elective.[1]
At the age of 19, she began modelling after being scouted by a photographer while on her job, walking stilts. As a model, she was involved in multiple fashion shows, magazine shoots, prints, TV commercials, as well as online shoots and videos.[2]
In 2019, She got the opportunity to be casted with Singaporean actors Max Lee and Kimberly Chia in a special incubator project by Mediacorp; Fresh Takes! - The Encounter, as Emily. In the following months, she auditioned for and took part in Star Search 2019, a Singaporean talent scouting contest hosted by Mediacorp where she emerged as the Top 12 finalists.[3]
