Shin-Young LEE
Shin-Young LEE is a South Korean Organist living in France.
Early Life and Musical Education
Lee was born to a musical family and began her musical studies in early childhood. She received a Bachelor of Music degree from Yonsei University, Seoul, under the direction of Dr. Tong-Soon Kwak, before continuing her studies in Paris, France, at the Scholas Cantorum of Paris with Jean-Paul Imbert, and at the Conservatoire National Supérieur Musique de Paris(CNSMDP) with Michel Bouvard and Olivier Latry.
Career
She was laureate of the 2nd International Jordan International Organ Competition in Columbus, USA and won the first prize at the Organ Competition of St. François of Lyon. Since then, she travels to many countries on five continents, performing, giving masterclasses and conferences, or judging competitions. She performed at the Berlin Philharmonie, Paris Philharmonie, Walt Disney Concert Hall of Los Angeles, Maison Symphonique of Montreal, Sejong Art Hall of Seoul, Zaryadye Concert Hall of Moscow, Maison de Radio France, Meyerson Symphony Center of Dallas, Gulangyu Organ Museum, Auditorio Madrid, Lahti Festival, Haarlem Festival etc. In addition to concerts and teaching, Lee has done active work on transcription.
