Shingo nawa

Shingo nawa are an assigned title and duty/occupation to a person of Sherpas communities of Nepal to protect forests. Forest cover in Nepal between 1992 and 2016 increased from 26% to 45%, based upon the use of comparative Landsat satellite images.
