Shiranthi Wickremesinghe Rajapaksa (Sinhala: ශිරන්ති රාජපක්ෂ, Tamil: ஷிராந்தி விக்கிரமசிங்க ராஜபக்ஷ) (born 23 January 1953) is a Sri Lankan child psychologist,[1] who was the First Lady of Sri Lanka from 2005 to 2015. She is married to Mahinda Rajapaksa

Shiranthi Rajapaksa completed her primary and secondary education at Holy Family Convent, Colombo.
Family[edit]
In 1983, she married Mahinda Rajapaksa.[2] The couple has three sons: Namal, the current Member of Parliament for Hambantota District and the Minister of Sports and Youth affairs from 2020 to 2022; Yoshitha was commissioned as an Acting Sub Lieutenant in the Sri Lanka Navy in March 2009 [3] appointed an Aide-de-camp to the President in 2006 and Rohitha Rajapaksa.
