Jayathi De Silva (born 13 May 1990) is a Sri Lankan scientist and beauty pageant titleholder. She won Miss Universe Sri Lanka 2016 and represented Sri Lanka at Miss Universe 2016.[1]
Biography[edit]
De Silva was born and raised in Colombo, Sri Lanka. She studied in London, UK and completed a bachelor's degree in molecular biology and forensic science and a master's degree in cancer biology.[2]
De Silva entered Miss World Sri Lanka in 2015, and was the first runner-up.[1][3] The following year, De Silva was crowned Miss Universe Sri Lanka 2016 on 16 August 2016.[3] She represented Sri Lanka at Miss Universe 2016 in the Philippines.[4]
