Shital Kakkar Mehra is an author[1][2]. She is the founder of International School of Corporate Etiquette & Protocol[3] and GoBarefoot, and Co-Founder of Katalyst India, an NGO for underprivileged girls. Mehra is a regular columnist in news publications like The Economic Times[4], The Times of India[5], Business Today[6], and Mice Talk[7].

Early life and education[edit]

Shital Kakkar Mehra was born in Satna, Madhya Pradesh. Her father Vijay Kakkar is a C-suite Executive and mother Indu Sondhi Kakkar is a homemaker. She studied at Sophia High School, Bangalore and Cathedral and John Connon School, Mumbai. Shital is an All-India gold medallist in Hospitality Administration from the Institute of Hotel Management, Mumbai. She is a Bachelors in Sociology from the University of Mumbai. She is trained and certified by The Protocol School of Washington, USA and holds an Executive Presence Certification from Cornell University.

Career[edit]

Shital is an author. Her first book, Business Etiquette: A Guide for the Indian Professional (HarperCollins), has sold over 55,000 copies, and has been translated into several regional Indian languages.

Shital is an active philanthropist and is the Co-Founder of Katalyst, an NGO for underprivileged girls. She is also the Founder of GoBarefoot, a professional networking platform for development professionals, and Board Director of Third Sector Partners, an executive search firm dedicated to the social sector.
