Shravan Verma
Shravan Verma is a Singapore-based physician and entrepreneur. He is the co-founder and chief executive officer of Speedoc, a digital health company that provides telemedicine and home-based healthcare services.[1][2]
Early life and career
Shravan Verma completed undergraduate studies in Biomedical Engineering and Electrical Engineering at Duke University in the United States. He later earned a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from Duke-NUS Medical School in Singapore.[3]
Following his graduation, Verma practiced as a physician in several public hospitals in Singapore, where he noted the long waiting times faced by patients seeking treatment for non-urgent conditions. In 2017, he co-founded Speedoc, a digital health company that provides home-based and virtual medical care, including house-call doctors and nurses, telemedicine consultations, medication delivery, and remote health monitoring.[4][5]
Under his leadership, Speedoc has raised more than US$34 million in funding from investors including Vertex Ventures, Shinhan Ventures, Bertelsmann Investments, and SMRT Ventures.[6] The company also launched H-Ward, a virtual hospital programme aimed at enabling patients to recover at home. By 2024, Speedoc reported discharging over 6,000 patients through this programme, saving an estimated 25,000 hospital bed days.[7][8][9]
