Sib Chandra Deb (20 July 1811 – 12 November 1890) was one of the members of the Young Bengal. He was born in the village of Konnagar on the banks of the Ganges, eight miles northwest of Calcutta.[1] Through his efforts, a Railway Station, Post Office, Bangla School, English School, Dispensary, Brahmo Samaj were established in Konnagar. It is known from his autobiographical short biography.
