Siddhi Jain
Siddhi Jain (born in January 1990) is a self-taught baby photographer based in Rajkot, Gujarat, in Eastern India. She is a renowned photographer and led the trend of baby and maternity photography in the state of Gujarat. Siddhi started her company Siddhi Baby Photography in 2013, the first company dedicated to baby and maternity photo shoots in Gujarat, with the aim to provide artistic and truly world-class baby photography services in the region.
Early life and career
Every success story doesn’t start with acquiring a degree, and the same is true with Siddhi. As a teenager, she found her passion in psychology and pursued it in high school and her bachelor’s degree. She also completed a master’s degree in psychology with first class honours. But she couldn’t find the right opportunity in the psychology field. She also tried competitive exams for banks and did quite well in the initial stages. However, she lacked interest and found it an overrated pursuit. In 2012, her younger brother, Ravi Jain, advised her to start a baby photography service after watching her with a baby and taking pictures with a mobile phone. Why? Ravi knew Siddhi had a love for babies from her mother, and all the children from the neighbourhood loved to spend playtime with her.
Career – Photography
Siddhi took her brother’s advice and decided to venture into baby photography services. They did some basic research and viability checks together. After deciding to proceed with the plan, the first step was to invest in a camera and equipment and acquire the required skills. Siddhi invested all her savings from a job she did while studying to start the business. But technical knowledge of the latest camera was still an issue. None of her family was in this business, nor did she have any experience in the domain. In India, no institute offered a course that could help master the art of photographing babies, as it was a new concept in India at that time. Siddhi decided to seek help from famous wedding photographers in the city and worked with them as a photographer to gain technical skills. For photographing a baby, she did experiments on her own.
Siddhi’s creative eye and fine art approach at work helped her to gain fame quickly and boost her business. Well-experienced photographers of the city praised her work wholeheartedly. Many prestigious newspapers published featured articles about her, and TV channels took her interviews.
Ravi Jain is a banker by profession, but his study and passion both lie in Business Development and Digital Marketing. He took care of all business development activities like marketing, branding, promotion, customer acquisition, and expansion. His innovative solutions took the business to a larger scale in no time. With a perfect skill mix, Siddhi Baby Photography achieved a big name in the premium baby & maternity photography service domain.
Awards
Siddhi Baby Photography was awarded “Best Three Rated” as Best Photographer in the city for 2019 and 2020 in a row. It selects what it considers to be the three best businesses within a business category, like dentists, for a given city. They select businesses based on several criteria such as reviews, pricing, value, trust, and general excellence.
