Sight Received is an American alternative metal band from Olympia, Washington, officially formed in 2018. The band comprises vocalist Kristian Bullard, guitarist Nick Burgess, drummer Jaden Bullard, and bassist Josh Joyner. They released one independent album in July 2020 titled *Worthless Gold*, and three EPs.

History

Sight Received was created by Kristian Bullard in 2015 alongside his brother Jaden Bullard but struggled to remain active and find a lineup until the summer of 2018. After some time with friends coming and going, Sight Received settled with Kristian Bullard, Jaden Bullard, Nick Burgess, and later Josh Joyner. The name was inspired by the Bible, in the book of Matthew 20:29-34, where two blind men approached Jesus asking if he could perform a miracle to heal their blindness. Jesus performed the miracle, and the blind men immediately joined Jesus' ministry, stating "[t]hey received their sight and followed him." The band began playing shows and writing music during that time, playing shows locally from Olympia to Seattle. In June 2020, they announced they’d be releasing their debut album *Worthless Gold* and released four singles throughout the next month to promote the album. On July 31st, 2020, *Worthless Gold* was released. They released an acoustic reworking EP of four *Worthless Gold* songs titled *Odyssey*, and a two-single release titled *Roots* that features two covers of A Day to Remember's song "Mr. Highway's Thinking About the End" and Linkin Park's song "One Step Closer." In 2022, the band released the EP *Descend*, in which Nick Burgess and Jaden Bullard stepped down to pursue other projects. They were replaced with Joseph Brascher, Colton Reed, and Isaiah Sabo momentarily until Corey Symonds came in, thus making the lineup a five-piece. Two more EPs have been released, including *Deathbed Notions* in summer 2023, and they released the first single "The Enemy" in January 2024, with the full EP *Bones* coming in Spring. "The Enemy" marks the band's biggest single to date, with a debuting music video for the band as well.
