Silja Hauksdóttir (born 12 January 1974) is an Icelandic film, TV and stage director. She is mostly known for her film Agnes Joy (2019) and TV series Ástríður (2009) and Systrabönd (2021) as well as two times Áramótaskaupið, an annual Icelandic television comedy special that broadcast on the public television network on New Year's Eve.[1] In 2020 Hauksdóttir directed for the first time on stage when Kópavogskrónikan was premiered at the National Theatre of Iceland.[2][3][4]
