Simon Lebus is a British civil servant who has served as the interim CEO and Chief Regulator of Ofqual since January 2021, succeeding Glenys Stacey.[2] Prior to becoming the Chief Regulator of Ofqual, Lebus served as the CEO of Cambridge Assessment from 2002 to 2018.[2]

Lebus served as an external board member for the University of Cambridge's faculty of education between 2009 and 2014, and as the governor and chairman of the Cambridge Commonwealth and Overseas Trusts between 2002 and 2010.[1] He is a governor of Rugby School.[1]

Lebus was born in 1957. He attended the University of Oxford from 1976 to 1982, where he obtained a Master's degree in modern history.[1] Lebus' first job was working in a delicatessen in London.[3]
