Simonas Petrulis (born July 25, 1978, in Kaunas) – businessperson and chief executive officer of Lithuanian "ARVI" Marijampolė Free Economic Zone[1]. He leads the international projects (foreign direct investment) management teams and oversees marketing and public relations projects.
Biography
Education
1992–1996, he attended Kaunas Jesuit Gymnasium[2].
1996–2000, he studied at Kaunas University of Technology and acquired bachelor's degrees in Telecommunication and Economics and business management.
2000–2002, he continued his studies and acquired a master of business administration in international trade and marketing.
From 2002, he was a member of Kaunas University of Technology student union "RAFES" and Lithuanian "Karjeros dienos" co-founder.
Later, he finished e-commerce and international sales studies at Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences, Finland.
Career
2000–2003, he was an international project manager at TeliaSonera in the GSM telecommunications field and new product sales in Lithuania.
2003–2005, he became CEO of Lithuanian "ETA Medium"[4] and did sales consulting in the Lithuanian B2B market.
From 2004, he was Rotary International Lithuanian club "Dipolis" charter President and human resource manager.
2004–2012, he was CCO at Lithuanian "Sekasoft".
2005–2011, he was a manager of Lithuanian Rotary clubs international affairs committee and a member of its board of administration.
2012–2013, he joined ISM University of Management and Economics and worked on business partnerships with Eastern European countries, especially Belarus and Kaliningrad Oblast, created the ISM leadership studies program and stimulated international business partnerships.
From 2013, he has been a manager of Lithuanian "3P" investments project and CEO of Marijampolės laisvosios ekonominės zonos valdymo bendrovė. While working here, Simonas Petrulis achieved the company goals and in 2016 sealed the deal with Danish "Dovista" which plans to invest over €100 million over the next ten years in Lithuanian Baltic FEZ (Marijampolė County)[5][6][7].
2014–2015, he was President at Baltic Institute of Agribusiness (BAVI).
From 2018, he has been President at Lithuanian Association of Free Economic Zones (LAFEZ)[8][9].
Notable achievements
In 2010, he was awarded by Rotary International with a Paul Harris scholarship award for national and international Rotary projects development.[10]. He became a member of the national Lithuanian Rotary committee and international relationships coordinator in LT-DK district 1460.
In 2015, he was awarded by an international Rotary award in the LT-DK district[11].
He was the first Lithuanian Jesuit alumni federation (LJAF) charter President and initiator[12].
