A skill & action game, abbreviated S&A, is a type of game that requires physical skill to execute each play or move. Each play or move results in physical changes (actions) in the game playing environment such as the movement of one or more game pieces, or landing a game piece in a particular position.
A skill & action game "includes games in which something is rolled, thrown, tossed, tiddled, toppled, shot, spun, slid, bounced, balanced, carried, hooked, and so forth." [1]
Examples of skill & action games include: tiddlywinks, Jenga, pogs, penny football, marbles, skittles, shooting gallery, ring toss, and pinball.
