Skitzo Calypso, sometimes referred to as Modern Day Travesty.[1] and The Band With No Name[2], is an American hard rock band formed in 1996 in Baltimore, Maryland[3]. The original studio line-up included singer, songwriter, and guitarist Brad Cox and a handful of studio musicians, including drummer Tyler Ingersoll, guitarist Wayne Silver and producer David Pace[4]. Skitzo Calypso has released ten studio albums and toured the Mid-Atlantic region for over two decades[5][6].

Skitzo Calypso released its debut album *Join the Cult* in 1998. It consisted of punk and alternative rock songs and was quickly followed up by *Premeditated Acts of Stupidity* (1999). In 2000, Skitzo Calypso released an industrial album called *Electrophoria/P.L.A.A.G.E.S*[5]. As of Spring 2018, the group was in the studio recording its follow up to its last release, *Ghosts II: The Beyond* (2016) [7]. Skitzo Calypso put out the single, “Reaching For An Emerald Sky” on March 10th, 2018, as promotion for the new album, set to be released in Summer 2018[8]. Announced potential album titles for the coming release include: *Chasing Rabbits Through a Field of Landmines* and “A.L.I.C.E.”[2]. The album is being produced by Tony Correlli at The Deep End Studio. A snippet for another teaser track called “Eulogy of Me” was released on April 8th, 2018, featuring pianist/keyboardist Cherry Teresa. Cherry Teresa joined the group in 2001 and left in 2004[8].

Skitzo Calypso’s late 90’s and 00’s albums explored multiple genres, including: punk, rock, industrial, funk and jazz[9].

The band's membership has changed many times since the late 90’s, with Cox being the only constant member since 1996. Gary Holmes and Bryan Holmes have been constant members since 2001.[10]. The current lineup consists of Cox, B. Holmes, G. Holmes & We Love the Underground guitarist, Patrick Sise[8]
