SloFluffCon (usually abbreviated to SFC) is an international furry convention held annually in Slovenia. It is an event dedicated to the lovers and followers of furries, where participants from different countries come together to share their passion for anthropomorphic animals, culture and art related to this subculture.[1]
History
SloFluffCon was created based on an idea from 2020, when the organisers decided to create an event that would bring together the furry community in Slovenia and surrounding countries – they wanted to organise the first international furry convention in Slovenia.
The first edition of SloFluffCon took place in 2023, when the Hotel Evropa in Celje hosted guests who took part in the many events and activities that the event had to offer.[2] This edition of SFC was also the first international furry convention to be held in Slovenia.[3]
In 2024, SFC was held at the same venue as the first year. The event was marked by a special visit of the mayor of Celje – Matija Kovač, who also talked and took photos with the attendees.[4]
Organisation
SloFluffCon is organised by Slovensko kosmatinsko društvo[5], which runs the event as a non-profit initiative, entirely through volunteer work.[6] All funds raised go exclusively to the organisation of the event.

Below is a table with statistics for each year in which SloFluffCon took place. Since 2024, the event has had at least one Guest of Honour each year. Since 2023, the SFC has had its own "theme" each year, reflected in the patterns of the T-shirts, collar ribbons and venue decorations.

Main events
- Fursuit lounge is a heavily air-conditioned area for fursuiters to cool off and take a break from the action of the convention and fursuiting.
- My first furry convention, to prepare newcomers for their first convention.
- Dealer's den, where attendees can sell their merchandise.
- Group photo brings participants together for an unforgettable group picture.
- Fursuit games, where participants compete or participate in their fursuits.
- Snack exchange, where participants share and exchange their local snacks with others.
- Fursuit walk through the city streets.
- Furdance with a DJ and light effects.
- Special events, led or organised by an invited Guest of Honour, a well-known member of the furry community.
