Slow Train (band)

Slow Train is a popular cover band performing in nightclubs and bars throughout the greater Cincinnati area. They are well known for their rich harmonies, expert musicianship and quality song selection. They have chosen the songs they perform carefully, selecting vocally rich songs from the 1970's. Some have described these songs as Yacht Rock, they include the Doobie Brothers, Journey, Eagles, Styx, Peter Frampton, Pablo Cruise and many more. They band also throws in songs from Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and Van Halen.

Formation

The band was formed by veteran members of the well-known Cincinnati bands Gen-X and Templin Road. The band Gen-X was going to break up and some members of Templin Road were looking for something different. Individual members reached out to each other with the idea of starting a new group. They came up with a number of songs and got together in late July of 2024, they decided to form a new band calling it Slow Train.

Future

Slow Train has bookings for 2025 playing in many of the more popular indoor and outdoor venues. They have been drawing crowds and the feedback from the audience has always been positive.
