Smart Gate (United Arab Emirates)

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Smart Gate is an automated self-service border control system operated by the UAE Ministry of Interior and located at immigration checkpoints in arrival and departure halls in three airports in the UAE. Smart Gates allow Emirates ID holders and ePassport holders of a number of other countries to clear immigration controls more rapidly, and to enhance travel security by performing passport control checks electronically. Smart Gate uses Iris recognition to verify the traveller's identity against the data stored in immigration databases..[1][2]
