Mantra Softech is a leading manufacturer of biometric technology products. Its head office is located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.[1] The company manufactures biometric products such as Facial Recognition System, Fingerprint Detection, Iris Scanner and Palm Vein Matching System.[2]

Mantra Softech was founded in 2006 by Mr. Hiren Bhandari with the objective of entering the Indian Biometrics based security system industry.[3]
In 2010, the central government implemented the Aadhaar project by providing a 12-digit unique ID number to every citizen of India. In this project, Mantra Softech was tasked with collecting the data of each person's fingerprints and iris through biometric devices in two main cities, Ahmedabad and Surat.[4]
In 2014, Mantra Softech became the official biometric device manufacturer for the Aadhaar program led by UIDAI. Currently, Aadhaar data is used by the Government of India for social welfare schemes and the telecommunications and banking sectors for KYC.[5]
Currently, Mantra Softech biometric devices are used in many government-run projects, including driving licenses, national population registries, and uttar pradesh Public Distribution System programs. All these depend on the Aadhaar UIDAI ecosystem to identify beneficiaries and ensure that benefits are passed on to the recipients.[6][7]
