Charity Impact
In India, where 24% of children are devoid of food every day, keeping SmilingStart as a homepage for a month helps in feeding 20 children[1] Furthermore, among 50% of the girl children in India are not enrolled in schools due to lack of money and those who enrol, leave school by the age of 12. [2][3] With SmilingStart at least 9 days of education can be sponsored for a girl child. Lastly, keeping SmilingStart's homepage for a month also provides 15 days of shelter each month to poor homeless children that make a living by doing jobs like rag-picking, hawking, etc., who would otherwise have to brave the harsh environmental and unhygienic conditions of the place where they reside.
Work Culture
Its work culture adheres to being informal. SmilingStart encourages open-minded, wise thinkers who are ready to take up a challenge to work towards bringing smiles to real people. They have a small, close-knit team of 5 members that is moving towards one vivid goal of stirring up a change.
