Snarnz (Shit Narnia)

Snarnz, previously known by the name 'Shit Narnia' is an emo punk band based in Perth, Australia.

It was described by local music reviewers as trailblazers of "Oz-Core", a musical 'celebration' or 'self-aware piss-take' of bogan culture.

Formation & History

The band was formed in 2013 by a group of four friends from South WA, three from Albany and one from Denmark.

The members of the band grew up in a 'DIY coastal metalcore scene'; prior to forming the band.

For a time it was associated with the now-defunct Perth music collective 'Humandog'.

Discography

In 2022 the band released an LP titled 'Cloudbelt'. The LP in-part documented their experience growing up on the WA Coast.

In addition, the band has released various EPs and singles.

One the band's first released singles was 'Claremont Boys'.

Performances

The band has performed at Mojos, The Bird, and at Jack Rabbit Slims, among other venues.

One of the band's noteworthy performances was the Humandog office party.
