Snehasis Sur
Snehasis Sur is a senior journalist working in Doordarshan Kolkata for more than three decades.
He also has experience of print and radio. He is an empaneled Media Trainer of Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) and conducted training in several countries. He is a Guest Faculty in Journalism & Mass Communication in Calcutta, Jadavpur, Burdwan, Visva Bharati, St. Xavier’s University Kolkata and Indian Institute of Mass Communication and National Academy of Broadcasting & Multi Media, Odisha.
He is an M.A. in Journalism from Calcutta University and has done PG Diploma in Media Laws from NALSAR, Hyderabad and PG Diploma in Public Relations from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.
He had covered several important assignments in India and abroad and accompanied the Prime Minister of India in his foreign visits on several occasions. Apart from West Bengal, he has experience of covering conflicts in all the North Eastern States and Jammu & Kashmir.
He is currently the President of Press Club, Kolkata for two consecutive years and was the Hony. Secretary of St. Xavier’s College (Calcutta) Alumni Association.
He has edited a couple of prestigious publications and also received many awards for excellence in Journalism.[1][2][3]
