Soma Bhadra is the CEO of Proteus Consulting.[1] She has a BE in Civil Engineering from Bengal Engineering and Science University and a MS in Environmental Engineering from the University at Buffalo.[1] She lives in San Diego,[1] and has previously lived in India, Singapore, Australia, and the United States of America (New York and North Carolina).[2]
Water sector
In 2014, Bhadra put forth a preliminary research proposal regarding a more efficient system to regulate energy usage to the Valley Center Municipal Water District.[3] In 2022, she became part of the California Water Environment Association's Select Society of Sanitary Sludge Shovelers.[2][4]
Biofuel
Soma Bhadra's company, Proteus Consulting, works with biofuel companies.[5] She has said that government funding and private investment have triggered growth in biofuel companies, but that consumer demand might not be strong enough to inspire airlines specifically to invest in biofuels.[5]
