Emily Pitcher (born August 13, 1999), known online as SonderingEmily, is an American indie game developer, YouTuber and voice actor. She is known for voice acting the character One in Battle for Dream Island.[1] She founded her game studio Sondering Studios in 2023 after getting fired from her job at Meta.[2][3]

Education

Pitcher was a valedictorian in her high school, where she eventually graduated the University of Los Angeles with a Honours degree in 2021.[2]

Career

Pitcher first started by joining ACM Studios in her collage's game development club. She learned through Unity and eventually got the idea to start Sondering Studios in 2022.[4][5] She first released the indie game A Taste of the Past in 2022.[6] In 2025, she began working on the indie horror game lily’s world XD, which is inspired by Pitcher's teenage years through insecurity and anxiety.[7][8][9]
