Sophia Poh (Chinese: 傅慧玲; pinyin: Fù Huìlíng) is a Singaporean chartered accountant and economist.[9][10][11][12][13] She is vice-president of Singapore Institute of Purchasing and Materials Management (SIPMM), and is responsible for industry engagement and development.[14][15][16][17] She has been interviewed regularly on economic issues by major media agencies, in both domestic as well as international news.[18][19][20][21] She is especially known for her insightful comments of the Singapore manufacturing sectors, where she offers an in-depth analysis of the Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) and discusses the implications for the Singapore economy.[22][23][24][25][26][27][28][29] In her social and personal life, she is an active volunteer of community activities and has been a grassroots leader with the People’s Association (PA). She enjoys working with like-minded individuals to improve the living environment of neighbourhoods and communities, and participates in planning local events that are close to her heart.[30][31]
