Trones met Skaugen and Nohr when he was teaching Music Technology at the music conservatory in Trondheim (NTNU). Skaugen was studying classical piano there at the time, while Nohr was studying classical singing. Trones was the initiate founder of a government funded project called Hit Factory, and invited Skaugen and Nohr to participate. The trio started the company when the Hit Factory project ended.
